With a name that means "Star" – she radiates and shines brightly wherever she is. Astra is every girls best friend and seems to be every guys "Top 8". She started out at a young age as a print work model, which eventually led into television work with roles on MTV, and HBO - to name a few. While obtaining her B.A. in Communications at Molloy College, she picked up her first radio job followed by her first broadcasting gig at a local TV news station. With a growing love for music, and celebrity gossip, she landed her first gig at WDRE as the "mid-day host", followed by afternoon drive on WLIR. The celebrity interviews have rolled in by the dozens and she continues to live her dream rockin' the airwaves every weeknight from 7pm-Midnight! Email Astra!

Favorite Music: I love DANCE music, as well as Hip hop and R&B. I'm also a HUGE Freestyle Freak, love a lot of stuff from the 80's and Rock has just started growing on me.

Favorite TV Show: I love gossip...so I love everything on VH1, E!, and MTV. I'm also a BIG cartoon lover...so you can catch me watching the Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon too. (Hey...who ever said that you HAD to grow up?!?)

Favorite Long Island Restaurant: I love seafood, Italian, Spanish, Greek, and Sushi. I LOVE Vincent's Clam Bar in Carle Place, Four Food Studios and Cocktail Salon in Melville and during the summer, it's all about the Nautical Mile in Freeport I LOVE Landshark, Blue 42, and Hudson & McCoy!

Favorite Stores: Guess, Bebe, Express

Favorite Car: It would have to be the Infiniti G37 Coupe, IN WHITE, fully loaded with GPS!! But I'm also a HUGE Mercedes fan...so I'd ALSO take a CLK 55 AMG Convertible, Platinum color and OF COURSE fully loaded (that could be the weekend car) – Hey a girl needs options right?! LOL

If I didn't live on Long Island, I'd live: In Manhattan OF COURSE – I'm a TOTAL CITY GIRL!!! If I didn't work in radio, I'd be: Working on air in Television (my other passion - preferably on something like Access Hollywood or Extra)

Hobbies: Love going out to dinners, movies, hanging out by the beach (when it's warm) spending time with my friends, chillin' at Starbucks for some coffee...oh and I'm a HUGE MySpace.com junkie

Thank-You: So many people have helped to get me to the point I'm at. First and foremost, my family – they have been there since day 1 dealing with the ups and downs...but in the end it always works out for the best. My closest friends for sticking by me...even when I would rarely have time to see them – THOSE are true friends! Drew Scott –the first person to introduce me to field of broadcasting by giving me my first job and believing in me. Andre Ferro – my friend and 1st PD who believed in me and gave me the opportunity to make me what I am today. Ballistic – who taught me the ropes and built up my confidence. Rick Martini – he's given me the opportunity to have the best of both worlds, and JJ Rice – who has allowed me to continue to pursue my dream.
