Whether you're hanging with me on the weekend or we sit in traffic together every afternoon, thanks for letting me share a bit of my life with you. Prior to my two years of running and hiding from the bosses here at BLI, you might have heard me on the Internet hosting a show called Xtreme Weekends. You've likely pulled up next to me at a red light on Deer Park Ave where I was blasting Hannah Montana songs with the windows down. Or maybe I'm the guy that kept checking his Blackberry in the movie theater during P.S. I Love You. Yeah, I'm a work-a-holic. In the summer, I spend every moment possible on the beach and in the winter you should stay far away from me on the Southern State because I probably forgot to brush the ice and snow off the roof of my car. I really do believe that all I really need to know I learned in Kindergarten.
Anyway, there's a piece of my story. For the rest, you'll have to listen! Email Tim! Check out Tim's Blog!
Hometown: Garden City, NY
Birthday: February 18
Favorite Music: I'm just gonna shuffle the iPod and tell you the first few things that come up: The Raconteurs, XTC, Carrie Underwood, Natalie Cole, Queen, Daughtry, Avril Lavigne, U2, Kelly Clarkson, Blondie, Fergie, Keane, Sublime, Rihanna, The Postal Service, Elliott Smith, Miley Cyrus, Paramore, Oasis, Talking Heads, Maroon 5, Jem, The Cinematic Orchestra, Matchbox Twenty.
I secretly rock out at the top of my lungs to: High School Musical, Rent, and Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus. Oh, and anything from the 80s or 90s Bad English, Firehouse, The Bangles... anybody remember Jane Child? That nose piercing was brutal.
Favorite TV Show: Grey's Anatomy. Law and Order SVU except I stopped watching when they got rid of Alex Cabbot. Boo.
Happy Place: In a Starbucks or Panera with my MacBook Pro.
Favorite Celebrity Encounters: I got to go to the city and meet Miley Cyrus in her hotel after Good Morning America; that was pretty much the highlight of my life. I also loved Rihanna when she visited with her doggie, Daughtry's BLI acoustic café was unreal, and Enrique Iglesias was an awesome down to earth dude that just hung with us in our offices for hours!
Unhealthy Obsession: My Blackberry. One morning I forgot it at home and didn't realize until 10 minutes in the car I went all the way back.
If I didn't live on Long Island, I'd Live: Somewhere affordable? Actually, I'd do the city thing. I love Manhattan. (So much for affordable.)
Favorite Stores: Best Buy for gadgets, I could spend hours and an obscene amount of money in Target, and a trip to the Roosevelt Field mall is never complete without something from the GAP, Express, American Eagle, and Hollister.
Favorite Books: Love all of Mitch Albom's books Tuesdays With Morrie, Five People You'll Meet In Heaven, and For One More Day. Also, The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a classic.
Favorite Long Island Restaurant: Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Ciao Baby, and Tricia's Café on Deer Park Ave in Babylon Village.
A talent I would most like to have: I wish I could sing. Well actually, I sing regardless. It's more like "a talent that everyone around me that has to hear it wishes I had".
Ok, now call and tell me YOUR story! 955-9BLI! Until then, ciao! And thanks for listening.
