American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund

In response to Hurricane Ike's landfall along the Gulf Coast, the Red Cross is providing shelter, food and emotional support for thousands in need. Those affected by disaster are relying on us for emergency aid in their toughest times - especially now in the peak of hurricane season. These storms will have an impact. You can too. The Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence offers a comprehensive program of shelter and non-residential supportive services for victims of dating and domestic violence. Emergency shelter is available for women and children who are living in dangerous situations due to domestic violence. Supportive programs are offered which include legal services, advocacy, counseling, vocational training and children's services. Domestic violence affects all people in all areas of society.
