1. Mean Girls

From the casting to the writing, and overall movie...It’s so hard NOT to quote Mean Girls on the regular. I mean, the limit does not exist! Even though we haven’t made “fetch” happen 20 years later, we can all agree that Regina’s mom wasn’t just a regular mom, she was a “cool mom.”

2. The Notebook

One of the most iconic rom-coms EVER! We’ve all got Nicholas Sparks for putting us in our feels. The love story between Noah and Allie’s relationship had is emotional. The fact that Noah built Allie her dream house. Ladies, if he wanted to...he would!

3. 13 Going on 30

How could we NOT put 13 Going on 30 to our list?! Jennifer Garner absolutely SLAYED as Jenna Rink. From the outfits to the hair styles, this movie was SO 2000s coded. I’d wear Jenna’s dress in that Gif everday if I could! After watching this classic, we all went out and bought Razzles.

4. Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen

It’s safe to say we WISH we were Lindsay Lohan in the early 2000s! Lindsay was THAT GIRL in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. I loved that Megan Fox co-starred in this film.

5. A Cinderella Story

The biggest question: how could Austin not tell it was Sam through the mask?! Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray had chemistry that was off the charts in this movie. Plus, we can’t forget one of the most iconic lines from the movie... “because waiting for you is like waiting for rain in this drought. Useless and disappointing.” Sam ATE in that scene!

Sleepover may be one of the most underrated movies on this list! The casting was perfect, and the scaveger hunt seemed like SO much fun! After watching the movie Sleepover, I think it’s safe to say people stepped up their game!

7. The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement

It’s hard to live up to the hype of a first movie. It’s safe to say that The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement delivered! The casting, the true enemies to lovers vibe between Mia (Anne Hathaway) and Nicholas (Chris Pine), and the messaging on this movie is beyond wholesome!

8. Shrek 2

Another sequel that deserves to be on this list: Shrek 2! The “I Need A Hero” scene lives rent free in my brain. This movie had a great soundtrack, it was super funny, plus we were introduced to Puss in Boots! How do you say NO to a face like this?!

9. Ella Enchanted

Anne Hathaway really DELIVERED with some iconic movies in 2004. Ella Enchanted was one of them. We love a good spell breaking love story!

10. Napoleon Dynamite

I think we can all agree, this movie was WEIRD...but weirdly iconic? This movie had us all rocking a “Vote for Pedro” shirt and wanting to take Rex Kwon Do.

Some honorable mentions include: 50 First Dates, Catch That Kid, The Phantom of The Opera, The Prince & Me, New York Minute, White Chicks, and Dodgeball, First Daughter, and The Incredibles.
