Hey, it’s intern Krysta!!!! If you are anywhere near as obsessed with pop culture as me, you probably spent this week scrolling through your phone, awaiting all the best celebrity costumes and maybe even finding some inspiration for yourself. And if not, don’t sweat it because I am here to highlight and review some of my favs. Grab your leftover candy and let’s drive in!
Sabrina Carpenter
Impressively, Sabrina Carpenter delivered not one, but three iconic costumes at her Dallas stop on the Short N’ Sweet tour for Halloween Eve. To kick off the show, Sabrina sported a Playboy Bunny look with glittering bunny ears and a bowtie around her neck. For act two, Sabrina switched into an all black bodysuit and leather jacket to channel Sandy from Grease. And for the grand finale, Sabrina put on her fairy wings and added some pompoms to her shoes to fully embrace her Disney roots and become Tinkerbell. Overall, I am so obsessed with all three looks, especially because they are all so on-brand for our favorite short and sweet pop star.
Camila Cabello
After going blonde for a few months, the “Havana” singer recently debuted her return to brunette at the 2024 VMAs in September. However, it appears she couldn’t stray away from being blonde for too long as she rocked a stunning blonde wig on Halloween to bring her Regina George costume to life. With her cute bunny ears and trendy, fluffy boots, Camila proves that this iconic costume never gets old.
Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz
As we all know it, Heidi Klum and her title of “The Queen of Halloween” does not disappoint. For her 23rd annual Halloween party, the model and her husband, Tom Kaulitz, were covered in prosthetic makeup to become the most realistic versions of E.T. ever. As always, 10/10 for effort and commitment. Can you imagine the process of taking that costume off?
Ed Sheeran
For anyone deeply invested in internet culture, you may recognize the meme of a young boy dressed in a monkey costume, standing inside an Apple Store with his iPad. AI was used to reimagine this meme from the early 2010s and incorporate Ed Sheeran into the viral image. Poking fun at this, Ed Sheeran shared a photo on Instagram, dressed in a monkey costume and holding the AI-generated image of himself. So, I guess you could technically say Ed Sheeran was himself for Halloween this year, which sounds iconic to me.
Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco
In a playful photoshoot on Selena’s Instagram, the singer, actress, and Rare Beauty founder shared pictures of her and her boyfriend’s modern take on Alice and the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. With over-the-top looks and fun wigs, these two definitely took their couples costume to another level, and I am loving it.
Jennifer Garner
Actress Jennifer Garner brought out all the nostalgic feels this Halloween by recreating her iconic look from the 2004 film 13 Going on 30. Revisiting her role as Jenna Rink on Instagram with a fun video certainly made my Halloween sweeter.
Olivia Rodrigo and Iris Apatow
Just in time for the November release of the new Wicked movie, the pop star and her best friend dressed up as Elphaba and Glinda. In a video on Olivia’s TikTok, the duo showcased how simple, yet adorable this costume can be for a last minute Halloween look with your BFF. All you need is some green and pink tights!
