BLI Healthcare Heroes: Marissa Gavilan | Honoree for May 7, 2021

This week, Marissa Gavilan from East Islip was nominated by her Mom, Michelle. Michelle had to say, “Marissa worked the frontline during the difficult early months of the pandemic in the ER at Stonybrook University Hospital while battling COVID herself. In the meantime, she received her CCRN certification and she now works in the ICU at Southside University Hospital providing care to very sick patients on a daily basis.”
