Kid Friendly, Not So Scary Halloween Events on Long Island

October is such a fun month on Long Island! As a mom, I went on the hunt for kid friendly not scary events to enjoy this Halloween season!

Here’s the 3 spots we talked about Friday morning on The Syke Morning Show with Ally Ali…and I added two bonus spots!

  • The Sachem Library Haunted Garden Of Villains! FREE fun walk through October 17-21 5:30-8:30.
  • Halloween Fest Downtown Riverhead October 21. The festivities kick off at 3p with coffin races! Enjoy Trick or Treating on Main Street, Goblin Parade 7p - you are encouraged to come dressed in costume!
  • Spooky Fest at the Center for Science Teaching and Learning in Rockville Center from 6-9p open weekends Friday-Sunday to 10/29. Enjoy enchanted walk, zombie Dino woods walk thru, face painting, glow tent, fortune telling & Halloween DJ.
  • Hicks Nursery Fall Festival in Westbury! Free activities include corn hole, 12+ photo op stations, the animated Halloween story, pictures with Otto the ghost!
  • Halloween Bash at the Children’s Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton Friday October 27 4-6p. Enjoy ghoulish games, trick or treating, creepy crafts, and a costume contest! For ages 8 and under.
