Major Changes to Southwest Airlines; Will You Still Fly?

The people’s airline no more!

All good things must come to an end & Southwest Airlines has announced the end of its practice of open seating.

The carrier said it will now assign seats and give premium seating options that will offer much more legroom for passengers.

Many flyers of the airline were NOT happy about the news, but Southwest insists that 80 % of its customers and 86% of potential customers would rather have assigned seats.

Southwest also announced it will begin overnight “red-eye” flights beginning on Valentine’s Day 2025.
