New Trend? Sending Out Non-Invites for Your Wedding

If I’m buying you a wedding gift, I’m expecting a little something in return.  An open bar, or at least a slice of cake . . .

A couple’s wedding invitation is all over social media, because it’s really a NON-invite.

They sent out an announcement to let people know they’re having a “private ceremony,” and that they’re NOT invited.  (???)

It said they’d like you to join them in SPIRIT . . . but they misspelled “spirit” as “SPIRT”.  (Here’s the photo.)

People are calling it tacky and a total gift-grab.  Like, “Hey . . . you’re not invited.  But could you buy us a blender anyway?”

Their wedding is March 8th, 2025.  Experts say intimate weddings could be a big trend over the next few years as people try to rein in spending.
