Governor Kathy Hochul has announced that she is letting the mask mandate across New York State expire on Thursday, with the exception of schools, health care facilities, correctional facilities, bus/train stations, homeless shelters, and shelters for domestic abuse victims. This news is effective tomorrow. According to News 12, the Governor clarified in a news conference that school mask mandates can be lifted on March 7th if data continues to trend down.
