The Parent Trap turns 26

The Parent Trap officially turns 26 today!

In honor of the anniversary, let’s break down the big things we took away from the movie.

1. The handshake of ALL handshakes between Martin and Annie was so wholesome!

2. Oreos with peanut butter - the snack duo that made us all try it! Seriously, don’t knock it until you try it!

3. Two words: Meredith Blake! Though she was the ‘villian’ of the movie, we have to all agree...she had some pretty great quotes!

Though...I don’t think Hallie and Annie should’ve did Meredith so dirty putting her in the lake on the blowup mattress. She endured enough with this.

4. The photoshoot scene! Elizabeth James certainly had an eye for fashion, and watching this as a kid definitely made me excited to try on wedding dresses one day!

5. The cast and their jobs! I love that both Elizabeth James (Natasha Richardson) and Nick Parker (Dennis Quaid) had incredible jobs and even better help! Martin (Simon Kunz) and Chessy (Lisa Ann Walter) carried the movie with their adorable romance!

My big takeaway: it took Hallie and Annie WAY too long to realize they were SISTERS! They were each other’s doppelgangers across the globe!
