It’s an end of an era. According to CNN, Party City is going out of business.

CNN reported that all stores across the country are “winding down operations immediately,” with today being the very last day of employment.

Party City has been a staple for party supplies, holiday costumes, and more for nearly 40 years. It was announced January 2023 that Party City declared bankruptcy. Despite closing 80 stores the last two years, it was not feasible to keep all stores open any longer, according to CNN.

Stores that may be effected include: Patchogue, Islip, Commack, Centereach, Massapequa, Carle Place, West Babylon, Levittown, and more.

I’m so heartbroken! I spent my childhood buying my Halloween costume at a Party City.
