Newsday Reports, Northport's own culinary shining star - Chef Michael Maroni has passed away amidst police reports of a medical event suffered in an indoor pool.
“Maroni was transported to Huntington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead Friday, police said.”
Maroni was briefly featured on a Meatball-centric Throwdown with Bobby Flay, in which Flay lost.
