As we get ready for BLI SUMMER JAM, let’s share a little trivia about all the amazing artists set to entertain you on June 14th at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater.
1. The Jonas Brothers
Did you know that the Jonas Brothers were all huge Britney Spears fans growing up? Actually, the first CD that Joe Jonas ever purchased was a Britney Spears album. The brothers finally got to meet the pop princess at the VMAs in 2008!

2. Ellie Goulding
Most people only know that Ellie Goulding’s song “Love Me Like You Do” is on the “Fifty Shades of Grey” soundtrack. Did you know that Ellie also has two other songs that are on soundtracks? Ellie sings a song called “Thank You Clouds” on the “Sesame Street” soundtrack and “Still Falling For You” on the “Bridget Jones’ Baby” soundtrack.

3. Bebe Rexha
Did you know that Bebe Rexha started her career as a song writer when she was a teenager? She won The “Best Teen Song Writer” award at the National Academy of Recording Arts & Science annual Grammy Day event. Bebe was also the lead singer in a band called Black Cards with Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz before leaving the band to start her solo career.

4. Fletcher
When Fletcher was 17 years old, she performed on X Factor and was told by the judges that if she did not find a way to separate herself from other pretty singers with a big voice, the competition would eat her alive. Simon Cowell called her boring and unforgettable. Just look at how far Fletcher has come now with her singing career!

5. Ally Brooke
Just like BLI’s very own MJ, Ally’s celebrity crush is Justin Timberlake! In 2018, Ally Brooke met Justin Timberlake, and asked him to give her tips on how to become the most successful solo artist from a pop band. Do you know what JT replied with? “Don’t bother doll, you haven’t a chance.”

6. Mark Ronson
You know that Mark Ronson produced the song “Uptown Funk”, but did you know that he claims he nearly died because of the song? While recording the song, he did 82 takes and still couldn’t get the song just right. He decided to let everyone go to lunch and take a break. While on break, Mark Ronson went to the bathroom, threw up and fainted. He had to be carried out of the bathroom after that happened. He was under so much stress from the song that his body could not handle it anymore, but still determined to finish the track and make it a hit.

7. Why Don't We
Even celebrities have other celebrity crushes. According to Why Don’t We it would be a match made in heaven with hit artists such as Selena Gomez, Dua Lipa, Camila Cabello and Ariana Grande.

8. Bazzi
Who else knew that Bazzi is completely obsessed with space! Making his album title, Cosmic, Bazzi recently stated, “I think space and music go hand in hand, in the sense that they give a little more mystery and magic to life.”

9. Bryce Vine
Bryce Vine has one item that whenever he gets one, he collects it, no matter what it is for or who he is with. That item is movie tickets! Ever since he was 15 years old, Bryce Vine has collected every single movie stub for every movie he has seen. He loves that he can look at the stub and be able to see the movie, date and time and know exactly who he went with.

10. Jake Miller
Jake Miller might be a newer artist, but do you know that he has won a competition already? Back in 2011, Jake Miller won the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G by Samsung ”Kick It With the Band” competition. Wait till you see what he has planned in store for you on June 14th at BLI Summer Jam.
