Prince’s “Purple Rain” House Is Being Offered as an Airbnb

Wanna spend a few nights in Prince’s childhood home?  Not his real home, but his CHARACTER’s home from “Purple Rain”?  In honor of the movie’s 40th anniversary, it’s being offered as an Airbnb.

The house is in Minneapolis, obviously . . . and it’s been transformed into a shrine to both the movie and Prince himself.

If you book it, you’ll get to listen to Prince’s personal tape collection, see the actual outfits he wore, and smell his curated scent bar featuring his favorite perfumes.  (???)

There’s even a music lounge with instruments, and there’s an app that’ll teach you how to play and / or sing “Purple Rain”.

There’s also a SECRET DOOR that leads to, quote, “a room filled with treasures.”

Wendy and Lisa from The Revolution helped set all of this up.  They’re offering 25 one-night stays between October 26th and December 14th.

Each stay costs $7 per person, in honor of the Prince song “7″.  (Which is NOT on the “Purple Rain” soundtrack.)

You can start requesting one of those bookings October 6th at 6:00 a.m. Pacific.  Winners will be chosen at random.

(Check out the Airbnb listing here, including a ton of pictures.  Dude . . . the clawfoot tub!!!)
