Hey guys, it’s Intern Krystal! If you’re anything like me, you’re probably still recovering from The Eras Tour wrapping up this month in Vancouver. Any real Swiftie knows the thrill of hopping on a grainy livestream to anticipate which surprise songs Taylor will sing during the acoustic set, or, if you’re lucky enough, maybe you heard them live from inside the stadium. This tour, Taylor surprised us by mashing up some of our favorite songs, and it definitely created some of the best moments of the entire run. In honor of the highest-grossing tour, I want to reminisce with you all about 13 (of course, the only appropriate number to honor Taylor) of the best mashups from The Eras Tour!
1. “Long Live,” “New Year’s Day” and “The Manuscript” Mashup: December 8, Vancouver
Well, if there’s one thing Taylor made sure to do in Vancouver, it was ensure that there wasn’t a single dry eye in the stadium during her final surprise song set. Starting off strong on this emotional rollercoaster, Taylor changed the lyrics to “Long Live,” singing, “It was the end of an era” instead of “decade” and personally, I lost it. She then added in some “New Year’s Day,” combining lyrics to say, “And hold on, to the memories, they will hold onto you, And long live the walls we crashed through.” She included a chilling conclusion from “The Manuscript” singing, “But the story isn’t mine anymore.” This performance is an absolute must-watch, just be sure to grab your tissues before doing so.

2. “Us” and “Out of the Woods” Mashup with Gracie Abrams: November 16, Toronto
Gracie Abrams is living the ultimate Swiftie dream, and I am absolutely loving it for her. She went from recording covers of Taylor’s songs in her bedroom to opening for her on The Eras Tour, to being nominated for a Grammy together, and then having Taylor invite her on stage to perform. This has to be one of the sweetest moments on tour because, from the looks of this video, it seems Gracie had no idea that Taylor would mash up “Out of the Woods” with their song “Us.” If you love these two, you absolutely need to check out this video of Gracie’s reaction.

3. “Espresso,” “Is It Over Now?” and “Please, Please, Please” Mashup with Sabrina Carpenter: October 26, New Orleans
Even though our short and sweet popstar Sabrina Carpenter was “working late” on her own tour, of course she made time to join Taylor Swift and sing their pop hits together. If you love these two, you have to check out this video of how Sabrina and Taylor surprised fans with her guest appearance in New Orleans.

4. “Death by a Thousand Cuts” and “Getaway Car” Mashup with Jack Antonoff: August 20, London
Talk about fan favorites! You can tell just from this video that fans were absolutely exploding with excitement over the combination of these two hits. And let’s not forget, the thrill of having Jack Antonoff present, especially considering he’s produced some of Taylor’s most iconic songs. I have to say, I am insanely jealous of this one— singing these two bridges back to back is an absolute life goal.

5. “Ivy” and “Call It What You Want” Mashup: July 27, Munich
While I could never actually choose a single favorite Taylor song, these two are definitely high on my list, and the combination of them into one song lives rent-free in my head. Yup, it’s been five months, and I still can’t move on. If you’re a hardcore lover of evermore and Reputation like me, this video is for you.

6. “Haunted” and “Exile” Mashup: June 9, Edinburgh
Taylor definitely knew what she was doing when she paired these two songs together because after watching this video, it’s like they were always meant to be played together. Not to mention, the smile on Taylor’s face when she transfers into “Exile” from “Haunted” was priceless, especially when the fans started to scream in disbelief. “You can’t be gone ‘cause, I think I’ve seen this film before,” is just too good.

7. “Fifteen” and “You’re On Your Own Kid” Mashup: June 2, Lyon
“You’re On Your Own Kid” is arguably one of the most performed surprise songs on The Eras Tour— and for good reason. While Taylor created so many beautiful and memorable mashups with this stand-out track from Midnights, this one with “Fifteen” really pulls at the heartstrings, especially for anyone who has been a Swiftie since day one. It’s the perfect blend of nostalgia and growing up with Taylor.

8. “Clean” and “evermore” Mashup: March 3, Singapore
One of my favorite parts of these mashups is when the lyrics share similar themes, it really makes for a beautiful listening experience. “Clean” and “evermore” flow into each other so naturally, creating such a comforting feeling. This mashup is one I definitely return to time and time again.

9. “Cornelia Street” and “Maroon” Mashup: June 13, Liverpool
If you are a Swiftie, there’s no doubt these songs hit home for you. This mashup might just be one of my favorite live performances from Taylor ever. She delivered the most incredible vocals while pairing these two beloved songs together, and I can’t stop thinking about it. If you are a fan of these songs, you have to watch this video because the passion is radiating through the screen.

10. “False God” and “Slut!” Mashup: July 17, Gelsenkirchen
In terms of vibes, “False God” and “Slut!” feel like sisters and I’m guessing that’s why the crowd absolutely lost it when hearing Taylor paired these two together during the acoustic set.

11. “London Boy,” “Dear John” and “Sad Beautiful Tragic” Mashup: August 16, London
Any Swiftie would tell you that this mashup is an absolute dream come true. These gut-wrenching songs come together to tell the most poetic story, especially if you are a real Swiftie and know Taylor’s history with London. If you’re feeling strong enough to dive into this mashup without shedding a few tears, go right ahead and watch this acoustic set.

12. “Imgonnagetyouback” and “Dress” Mashup: July 5, Amsterdam
Everyone remembers where they were when Taylor added a TTPD set to The Eras Tour. In true Taylor fashion, she made one of the most iconic tours in history even more legendary by reworking the show to surprise fans as she kicked off the European leg of the tour. On July 5, “Imgonnagetyouback” was performed for the first time ever, and what better way to celebrate that than to pair it with “Dress?”

13. “Tim McGraw” and “cowboy like me” Mashup: March 9, Singapore
And to bring it back to where it all started, let’s discuss this brilliant mashup of “Tim McGraw” and “cowboy like me.” As a longtime Swiftie, this one reminds me of the entire journey of loving and supporting Taylor, making it the perfect listen for her birthday. She really took us back to her country roots with this one.

Picking only 13 mashups to highlight was nearly impossible; I seriously could sit here and write about the brilliance behind each one all day long. Well, this has been the best way to celebrate the end of such a special tour, so thank you for joining me! And let me know, have you had the pleasure of hearing any of these surprise song mashups live?
