Gov. Murphy and the rest of his family have tested negative, and they will continue to test regularly in the coming days, WPVI-TV reported.
The governor and first lady tested for COVID-19 after a recent known non-family contact was in their home, according to the statement from the governor’s office.
Tammy Murphy posted a photo on Twitter on Saturday celebrating the new year with the governor and two of their children.
The governor and first lady have both been vaccinated and have received booster shots, NJ.com reported.
“(The governor and first lady) urge all New Jerseyans to get vaccinated, get boosted, wear a mask, and keep themselves and their loved ones safe,” Murphy’s office wrote.
