NEW YORK — A stunning viral video captured the moment that lightning illuminated the Statue of Liberty in New York.
According to WCBS, Mikey Cee took to social media Wednesday evening to share the footage, which shows lightning striking near the historic landmark as storm clouds loom overhead.
"Hands down, the greatest video I've ever captured in my life," Cee captioned the clip, which has been viewed more than 1.9 million times on Twitter and 3,100 times on Instagram.
More thunderstorms were expected in the city Thursday, NY1 reported.
